Global pest control firm Rentokil comes to India

Chennai, June 5: Rentokil brand, synonymous to pest control services in the world market has announced operations in India. The company currently has established itself in the South, two offices in Chennai, and other offices in Bangalore, Hyderabad, Coimbatore, Pudicherry, Cochin, Trivandrum, and Vishakapatnam.
After consolidation of operations in South, Rentokil plans to go to other parts by the start of the fourth quarter.
Gopi Pillay, Regional Director, Asia Pacific said "Currently the company is on an acquisition, integration and growth model of operation. The company intends to be offering only services and few niche products for the next few years. Studying the market acceptance, the company will consider bringing products and other service offerings to the country. However, currently it is focused completely on the pest control services market."
In India, the estimated market size currently is around Rs 7000 crores, growing at more than 20% per annum. "Rentokil intended to enter India with its entire gamut of pest control service offerings. With the country growing at a steady pace of 8% annually, and with Indian industries making a mark of its own in the global map with its higher delivery standards and service outputs, along with the entry of major foreign players in various sectors of the economy, the corporate sector was always a good option to be offered world class service standards" says Mr. Sam Easaw, Managing Director, Rentokil India Private Limited. Rentokil will offer its services to Corporates, Institutions, commercial & industrial sectors and residential customers. Rentokil has already acquired 6 pest control services companies, and is in the process of integrating them and growing business organically.
